I regularly come to vd Valk hotels and in the past period more often vd Valk Avifauna,
I was therefore surprised that the rooms have apparently been renovated / changed.
As comments: the rooms are larger, but there is a TV that is too small for such a room. Watching from a bed what hotel guests like to do is virtually impossible.
At hotel room 203, the TV is completely in a place that can not be seen from the beds.
I am still a fan of this hotel, but I think the management is not fully aware of the recent changes

I am a frequent visitor of the Van der Valk Hotels, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The quality of the meal in the evening was very disappointing, I ordered calf's liver, a lovely succulent peace of meat, which should melt in your mouth.
On the plate there were thick chunks of liver, hard and chewy, so I sent it back to the kitchen.
The waitress told me that the chef apologized and that I was right it was beef liver and not calf's liver and I could chose something else so I choose a small steak, which was ok nothing more. How on earth is it possible to sell beef liver for calf's liver, not very clever to think that people won' t notice!!!
Also the French fries were pale and not very tasty.
I do stay quite often at Van der Valk Schiphol and the food there is fabulous.
Good point is breakfast that was superb the little gateaux made in the kitchen here were to die for.

Stayed here for business a few times for a night. It's fine for a night or two, quiet rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, but quite a small selection of options. Easy to get to on the bus from the airport too in about 40 minutes.

Great hotel with amazing birds park. Very friendly for family with kids, clean space rooms, great value for money. Family room is very big, two floors, bathroom, kitchenette. It was a great vacation there.

We thought there would be noise from the adjacent bird aviary, but the beds were that comfortable, I didn't hear a thing! Beer selection in the bar was good, check-in and out was efficient. The cycle storage was large and very secure. The nearby restaurant served good meals, see my separate review. We had a road-facing room, but even with the windows open it was quiet. The room was large and easily accommodated 4 people, with a good sized bathroom with shower and over-bath shower.
