Updated review: Management reached out to us apologizing for our time here. It's very important to us that they cared enough to take their guests' reviews seriously and we'd definitely consider staying here on our next trip to Ubud.

Oh, where to start. We booked a Terrace Villa in August 2017. When we arrived, they informed us that our villa wasnât ready because the people prior to us became ill and decided to check out late. They gave us a free welcome drink at the bar then put us in a temporary villa. Once the other guests were gone, we moved to our room. Not the most relaxing start to our day, but we were understanding.
We wanted to extend our stay another day but they didnât have the same room type available so we had to move again the next day. All was fine until they came up to us while we had just gotten in the pool, informing us that we had to move out of our room to accommodate the next guests. The interruption was completely inappropriate, especially because we had already asked if we needed to switch rooms then or if we could take a dip in the pool. When we arrived, they made us wait for other guests, and now they were kicking us out because of other guests once again, while we were soaking wet. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate.
Simply put, they didnât treat us like valued guests, and at $726/night, we expected more. We expect to be treated just as well as other guests, but we constantly felt like we were being put on the back burner. We're not paying premium prices to be treated like second rate. The terrace villa is stunning, but unfortunately, the customer service was not. Such a shame as we loved the property.

What else can i tell you that the others haven't? Booked a Deluxe Terrace Pool Villa, but upon our arrival, i was upgraded to the Vice Regal "sweet" ! Fantastic, Who can refuse that? Thank you very much!
Viceroy is currently expanding / upgrading its facilities. They say it's to be completed in July this year.
Cascades food is delicious.They have a selection to cater to almost everyones wants.The only down side in my opinion of this wonderful resort are the spa "therapists". We had "room service". All the props were complete. Only thing missing were the skills of the "therapists". My wife and I were very disappointed to say the least on the quality of treatment we received.
Complimentary shuttle to main street of Ubud at your convenience is worth mentioning.
Everyone in the resort is friendly and attentive.
Staying here is money well spent.

Fabulous rain forest view from our immaculate pool terrace villa. Perfect friendly professional service. Gorgeous food. We were here for 12 nights but still had no time to get through all the menu choices. Every where your eye rests it is beautiful. A little way from town but there is a complimentary taxi service with 2 pickup points in Ubud. lf you're having trouble deciding where to stay, look no further!

We stayed at the Viceroy for 5 nights during our honeymoon in Bali and everything was absolutely perfect. Spectacular setting, delicious food and wonderful staff who always greeted us with a smile ... heaven on earth. Their attention to detail is superb and made our stay all the more special. Definitely a magical place which I would love to visit again.

We stayed in the Viceroy Villa. Two of us in one room and the kids in the other. Room was amazing with a fantastic view over the canyon to the jungle on the other side. Stepping out into the pool was great for everyone and gave us something to do on those days that we didn't have a lot planned and gave us a chance to splash around without disturbing the other guests taking selfies up at the infinity pool. Not to say we didn't go up there to do the same. Staff were great and did everything we asked and more. Room was always spotless and we were never left asking for anything. A fantastic place to stay. Even got to see some unexpected monkeys come and visit us on our last morning there. We woke up to see a mother and child quickly scurrying over the wall to get away. Turns out they had been after the fruit that is kept in the room. Amazing experience.
