Good optic and Clean rooms, but
no service especially in later evening,
- the poorest breakfast we ever got - two white slices of toast plus 1 omelette- servant refused the request for fruits or cheese or anything else (after a complain to a headmaster they gave a mini banana and a mandarin)- only one small cup of a not tasty black tea (happy to have own herbals with us and the gave some hot water)
- wifi not in the rooms and in breakfast area so weak that even this report was not easy to send
- in later evening the hotel is totally dark and closed - no night servant who cares for anything
- so for this price it is not recommended to stay in Villa Bayoud there are orhers wich offer much more for less than 2000 instead of 3000 plus tax

The property has great potential and is in a great location on the sea front HOWEVER the staff were disinterested and the service was terrible. The rooms were described as deluxe yet on arrival the shower head was covered in green mould, the sheets were dirty, bed uncomfortable and WiFi is only available in the main building. Breakfast was limited. They donât accept credit cards. Under new management and a refurbished interior it could be fantastic

The hotel is perfectly situated on the promenade road with an old world charm to its decor. Rooms are spacious with comfortable furnishings. Breakfast was complimentary but the options were limited. The staff was always helpful.

Stayed with friends for a night on 7th October. The property is wonderfully located. It is on the Pondicherry promenade and in what is known as the 'White Town' - French Quarter. It is a lovely villa. That is where the good part ends.
The staff are horrible. That is because the owner/management have recruited a bunch of youngsters who have no training or experience in hospitality. Essentially "cheap labour" has been imported with no skills imparted. This is the first hotel in India where we were not asked for any form of identification - shocking.
Our room had a four poster bed but the air conditioning and lighting was poor. The lighting in the bathroom was nearly non-existent and it was very difficult to navigate in and out of a plastic tub for a shower where you either got scalding hot or cold water.
This property can be turned around if somebody like Neemrana takes over the management.
AVOID under the current management.

We checked in during the long weekend..Apparently the sea facing rooms were all booked so we ended up staying on the first floor...First off, the rooms were tidy with clean bathrooms and toilet....the room service might be a lil shoddy as they don't have enough staff to address each one, however those get addressed whenever the attendants are around....The hotel has 11pm as a deadline for entries so make sure you return before that. The hotel manager is a resourceful person and helped us in whatever way he could. The property is facing the promenade and it's at the very heart of white town, so the location makes it up for everything.
