Fantastic Hotel

We stayed here in October. Myself, my husband and our 10 month old son. The hotel is fab in every way. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful and very efficient. They all work very hard, in all departments. The food was great. We were all inclusive and all of the breakfast and dinner buffets were great and he bar menu at lunch was delicious. There are 3 pools, one for children with a pirate ship and a massive one for adults. Then a tiny baby pool. The water was pretty cold but thatâs only because of the time of year we travelled. That being said, the kids didnât mind, just adults like me!
Location is great, just a half an hour walk to the centre of Cala n Bosch and the beach. I am a runner and there are some great scenic runs to be had.
All in all a fab holiday mainly due to the hotel being so good. With a 10 month old baby we were spending a lot of time in the hotel and we loved it there.
Would definitely go back ðð¼ðð¼
Great Hotel with Fantastic Staff

My 8 year old daughter and I stayed at the Zafiro Hotel in Menorca 14th-21st October, the hotel and surrounding grounds are lovely and well maintained, all the staff were fantastic, especially the house keeping staff to the bar staff. The pool area was kept immaculately clean, although the pool itself was freezing cold and I only ventured in once. It also has a pirates ship across where the Main restaurant is for the little ones, great fun for them and it also has some slides to whizz down on. We went A/I and I have to say the food at the restaurant was substandard, breakfast was very repetitive as was lunch and dinners, but I found out the hotel was closing for the season on 22nd October and I think they were running things down food wise, it maybe perhaps a different matter in the summer months, but I felt quite let down by the culinary experience at Zafiro, even though I paid A/I, we ate out a few times simply because I literally couldnât face anymore substandard, tasteless food. There are 2 local super markets 2 minutes from the hotel and is great for stocking up on essentials as their is a fridge and small freezer in the hotel rooms, along with cutlery, kettle, cups & saucers as well as a cooker, plates and a dish cloth if you fancy going self catering. For the A/I guests their is a selection of sandwiches and fruit in the chiller cabinets next to the pool bar, which you can also order food from, a little better than the main restaurant.
There is a marina not very far from the hotel, which is a 10 minute walk which has lovely little restaurants dotted along the edges of the marina along with some other shops, as previously mentioned it was the end of season and so a lot of the restaurants had closed leaving about 3 opened, the restauranteurs were very welcoming. Iâm in two minds if I would go back again, mainly just due to the food issues, but all in all we did have a nice time and met some lovely people whilst there and once again well done to the housekeeping staff and to the bar staff for being very welcoming!!

It was our first time to Menorca. We went with friends and their kids.
Room- Spacious with kitchenette. Showers were excellent. After going to the beach it was a pleasure to take a warm shower.
Pools- main pool was big with clear water. Water was cold in late October. Kids enjoyed pirate pool. There is an indoor pool with warmer water and Jacuzzi.
Food- was very good quality but I thought variety was less, but still had enough to choose from. In the later part of holiday variety got further reduced
Staff - 10/10. Very friendly. Always smiling and happy to help with anything. We left something on our dinner table and staff searched and found us to return it to us. When we returned from ciutadella just 5 minutes before lunch closing time they cooked fresh pizzas just for us. There were many vegetarians in our group and they cooked custom made vegetarian pizzas on our request. Bar staff were excellent as well!
Location of the hotel- short distance to the beach and marina but close to lighthouse. Bus stop to catch bus to Ciutadella is just next to hotel. Carla n Bosch is a small place but if you hire a car good base to drive to all nice beaches on the south of Menorca.
Entertainment- various activities through the day. Borja is all round entertainer. Kids enjoyed being pirates in the mini disco. Evening entertainment was ok but could be more variety.
Overall had a really fun filled holiday with friends in this fantastic hotel, especially for families with children
Zafiro- a reliable great value chain !

We ideally wanted to return to the zafiro in Santa ponsa in Majorca but due to our budget went with the menorcan hotel in this chain as it was 200 quid cheaper.
Positives : we arrived late at night and were provided with a packed lunch and a glass of wine each due to the restaurant being closed so great service from the hotel and this continued throughout our stay. So pleased we received the same service as their Majorca counterparts.
Lovely clean spacious hotel. Room was like a mini apartment equipped with kitchenette even though we were all inclusive but ideal to keep bottles of water cold or like me a bottle if milk for a cuppa in the Room! Bar area and pool area were spacious so plenty of room, entertainment provided every night
Pool much bigger than the rey Don Jaime and as in late September no fight for a sunbed.
Food at lunchtime and dinner again not overly busy so always got a table and food was really varied. However if you've eaten in the rey Don Jaime not quite as big a variety and quality but still good ( the inclusive wines that are available aren't really promoted remember to grab a menu as you don't have to stick to the house wine on tap ! I recommend the del a trio rioja!)
Things to take into account (not negatives as just wish we had known a little more before choosing !)
It was full of couples with kids - under 5 not a massive issue for us but as a couple without kids it was a bit overload but they did go to bed by 10pm!
The resort itself didn't have much there so think there is more to see the other end of the island. We got to citudella fine by bus outside the hotel but unless we paid for an excursion or hired a car we were a bit limited to things to go out and see.
The pool (Like the day Don Jaime) is absolutely freezing our own fault I suppose for going late Sept!
Great for families and groups and if you want a chill out in the sun. We liked the chain but will go back to Majorca next time !
Great family friendly hotel

THe Hotel Zafiro at Cala'n Bosch has Large spotless suites, cleaned 5 times in 7-day stay. clean towels also changed. Beach towels available.Best shower ever on holiday, always piping hot water in the wetroom attached to our room.
Pools well supervised by lifeguards and inflatables available in both pools.
Grounds safe, clean and well maintained.
Close to the marina for restaurants, bars and shopping, beautiful beaches(Playa Cala'n Bosh), although sunbed very expensive at 18 euros for 2.
Good bus route to Ciutadella and other resorts.
A must is a sunset at the lighthouse of Artrutx which is minutes away from the hotel.
Entertainment was good, children enjoyed the evening disco and further entertainment till 10 pm.
We were self-catering which was fine as local supermarket across the road and fantastic food (tapas) available at the marina.
Marvellous holiday, absolutely no faults other than having to come home Can't wait to book again.
