Spent two nights for an offsite meeting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small hiccups here and there which they apologised profusely Eg room keys not working, mosquitoes in the room. Beach front was clean but not for swimming due to debris and strong waves. Well kept landscaping. Food was excellent at the restaurants. Overall a good experience.

I stayed ths hotel four months before. Hotel it's nice property, Service not bad
Morning breakfast was good. Staff's are very friendly. I like this hotel and service.
Room service it's not good I was ordered Tea but it will took more time.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. Got an upgrade to one of the beach cottages, you can walk out and fall into the sea. Unfortunately, being on a business trip I was not dressed or packed for the beach!

Spent 2 days here last summer and had a great time- the food is amazing and the staff is extra helpful towards all guests! Property is great both from inside and otherwise! Much recommended for Chennai city.

Vivanta by Taj (Chennai)
The hotel is located in the heart of the centre & was once owned by a Newab. It´s a hotel full of old world charm. There are a couple of restaurants. We ate in the Peruga Italian restaurant of the hotel. The chef is a lovely guy & Italian, having worked all around the world for many years. The food was good there. Wherever we go we seem to make friends with the waiters. This hotel was no different. At breakfast the waiters brought us all sorts of Indian goodies to sample â they didn´t disappoint with their samples. They even delighted in making us the local traditional coffee we´d had in Pondicherry & become addicted to! Mr Christopher was a lovely guy & he showed us the kitchen of their Indian restaurant (the Raintree) as he found out we were interested in cooking. He showed us the ornate picture at this restaurants entrance & asked if we could spot the mistake â the child has two left feet. A lovely hotel we couldn´t fault.
