What I love?
- If you are planning to visit Chema's by the Sea in Samal, then this place is perfect since this is where Chema's picks up and drops off their guests.
Room
What I love?
- The deluxe room is big enough to accommodate an extra bed.
- The balcony is spacious as well.
- âThe hot shower is still working.
What to improve?
- The AC needs to be replaced. We booked two rooms and for both rooms, AC units did not function well. We called the housekeeping/maintenance but the only solution they provided is to give electric fan to both rooms. This only means that the management is already aware about the malfunctioning AC but still, they allow guests to stay in these rooms!

- Aside from having an outdated design, the pool was not that clean that we didnt bother to use it even if we stayed here for 3 nights. There is already a presence of green marks (algae probably?) in pool's floor.

- The breakfast buffet was impressive.
- âPizzaiolo also offers good food.

- Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
- âThe housekeeping team did not fail to maintain the cleanliness of our room.
- Hotel staff also did well on keeping the hotel grounds clean.
What to improve?
- The check in process was quite a disappointment. As I mentioned before, we booked two rooms. The first room was available on time (2pm), while for the second room, we had to wait for 5pm. I wish they can improve the check in process.

My family and I have been staying at the hotel for quite a number of years and we always enjoyed ourselves. It was the same this year in spite of initial disappointment with housekeeping: there were no towels in my room and the bathroom sinkâs stopper did not function the way it should. Housekeeping, however, promptly corrected these minor glitches. My brother and his wife, who occupied a room on another floor found the noise in the corridor distracting when watching TV or when they tried to sleep. My room could have used a bit more dusting. The bathroom showed its age and so did the room. Breakfast was quite satisfactory as far as we were concerned and the service was very good. Neither could I complain about service from the front desk. But the big draw for us was and always will be the grounds and the ambiance.

Hotel breakfast supposedly runs until 10am. At 930am, restaurant staff are already rushing guests to get all last pieces of food they want from the buffet. At 945am, almost all the buffet items are cleared up already. Why can't clear up start exactly at 10am?

Stayed in the Executive Suite, which was very spacious. The room was directly facing the beachfront, with the perfect view. The staff were attentive to my needs, and responsive to requests. This hotel is really our 1st choice in terms of having a relaxing and pleasant stay.

Stress relieving accomodation, relaxing ambiance and vacation like experience. Very goon value for monkey, perfect for smokers. Nice seafood Grill , spacious rooms w / terraces overlooking the beachfront w/ Samal island just accross. Easy taxi riles.
