The suite we were in was pretty spacious. Please change the curtains though. It is very useful that they have a mix/drop service at the beginning of the upward hike to the hotel but the scenic view make sit worth your while. Breakfast should be improved.

We stayed at Kasmanda Palace hotel for a long weekend and loved every bit of our stay. The property is superb and very well managed. Staff is courteous and eager to help. Special thanks to the chef for churning out awesome food. Our kids loved playing in your sprawling lawns.. would love to visit again as it can't be better than this!

Nice hotel situated on the mall road close to the Library end. Its a short but steep hike up from the Mall Road. Hotel has deputed a Wagon R for ferrying the passengers up & down (Salute to the guy who does this monotonous job dozens of time in the day). The location is just great, so close to the mall yet so away from all the hustle bustle.
We stayed in Royal Room #11 in the heritage section, it reminded me of the forest Rest house that I have stayed in on many occasions. The room and furniture were heritage but the Bathroom was modern (in case you are worried). There is newly built modern wing too.
Property has very good lawns (Good to pass time in winter sun) and a very nice Sunset/Sunrise observation deck where British Royalty once took tea. There is a reading room adjacent to the dining hall that is full of interesting books and old photographs of the nobility that owned this place.
Last but not the least their food is superb. One day we were served breakfast à la carte as occupancy was thin and next day it was a buffet as occupancy went up. I remember the tasty Alu Paranthas that we had in the breakfast, Kadhai Paneer and Dahl in dinner were good too. Their Moussaka was so good it reminded me of the one I had in Egypt. Serving staff was attentive and courteous.
We faced a small problem, we wanted drinking water in our room and we requested the front desk for it after the dinner, but probably the guy forgot it. When it didn't come, we tried calling Front Desk/Kitchen but nonody lifted the phone. We somehow managed with limca we had with us. My suggestion is hotel should make some arrangements to attend to calls in the night (may be the night guard) this was a small thing but there might be some emergency sometime. I communicated this to Mr. Sumit, Head-Operations next day while checking out and in my feedback mail too.
Notwithstanding this small issue its a nice hotel at Mussorie.

Market is close by. Mall is on walking distance

Visite Kasmanda Palace for this new year with family and friends. The place is peaceful, well maintained accompanied by great and helpful staff to make your stay comfortable. There was a well organized new year party which was enjoyed. Certainly a place to look at when you plan a trip to Mussorie.
