Our 3rd visit to the hotel and now a favourite.Atmosphere ,presentation and quality of dishes very good.Staff professional and helpful.Clearly a lot of thought and planning has been given by the private owners. Not inexpensive,but worth it. One suggestion in addition to what is a very English setting is the comprehensive drinks menu would be an English ,quality bottle(s) of ale. I should mention the hotel's arboretum and beautiful drive to the ample car park.

Iâm pondering if Iâd stay again .... the setting is stunning, the helicopter landing space on the lawn as you drive in, and the Bentley and general Car line up suggests style and sophistication.
Staff were really friendly and I loved the family owned feel and the fact that many hotels would have retired a lot of the staff years ago. Great support for older people who want to keep working and know what good service is and are polite.
That said I had the worst sleep ever as the wind howled around the eve of my room on the 2nd floor, the bed wasnât all that comfortable and the shower felt squashed in.

A wonderful place to stay, even for a few nights, a nice and quiet place for work meetings. All the dishes are very nicely served you can have a very traditional tea too. Itâs a magic place to spend some days far forma the world!

Visited for afternoon tea for 8 people. Very poor slow service, waited 45mins before having to ask for a waiter to come over. Sandwiches were stale when they came out, asked for more and was issued with more stale sandwiches. Made the manager aware and did not seem bothered at all. Eventually manager did care after going to the kitchen and realising customer was right. I would not visit again, do not the rate the afternoon tea at all.

We had foolishly tried to drive in one day from Bourges to my East Midlands home but were defeated by tiredness after traffic delays round Paris and a 2-hour delay at the Dartford Crossing.
Where to stay near to the M25? We chanced upon West Lodge Park who confirmed they could make up a twin-bedded room.
What a great choice! The setting is quiet and spacious and even boasts an arboretum.
The welcome, service, food and overall ambience were perfect. Management and staff are to be congratulated on their high professional standards and we feel both privileged and fortunate to have stayed here - hopefully not for the last time!
