    Great for a night!

Rohet Garh runs a very interesting camp around 25 minutes drive away through the scrub and desert of southern Rajasthan. We spent one night there to experience the silence of the countryside. The tents are very stylish, the beds are great and the bathrooms are fully equipped. What is more the food is supplied by the kitchens of Mihir Garh the uber smart 7 star resort hotel 10 minutes walk away which is the latest addition to the Rohet offering. So splendid food, luxury and a desert camping experience – just delightful.

    Chill!

Spent one night at the Wilderness Camp after 2 nights in Rohet Garh. Travelled there by jeep after visiting Bishnoi villages which was interesting but not overtaxing.
We were the only two guests at the Camp and felt very spoiled and well looked after. It really is peaceful. After a light lunch and a cold beer we took a stroll to look at nearby Mihir Garh which is beautiful.
We enjoyed the sunset on the terrace back in Camp and then had an excellent dinner. A set meal but with so many delightful dishes and breads it would be sure to please all tastes.
The tents are spacious with large bathrooms and comfortable beds.
There are various activities one can take part in but we were happy to take advantage of peace and quiet.
The night sky is beautiful too.

    Great Stay, lovely staff

I am surprised to hear some negative reviews. I had the best time staying there. Truly enjoyed visiting the Bishnoi people (although don't advise to drink their water) and had a beautiful horse ride as well. Service was tip top and the tents were very nice. I would go back in a second. Also, I must thank the resort, my friend was not feeling 100% during the stay and they immensely kind and made special food for her.

Fun place, fine food, staged Bishnoi village visits

Wilderness Camp became a fun, special memory for us. This high-class "tenting" provided a lovely, modern bathroom and a really fine dining room. We enjoyed the tall, thin, red turbaned Mr. Singh who waited on us. Our gourmet dinner began with the greenest spinach soup ever and included delicious shaped chicken breast, fish curry, sweet & sour veg, herbed mashed potatoes and a yogurt curry sauce for the rice. Breakfast was lovely--cut fruit arranged beautifully on a platter, refills on the tea, a fresh cooked masala (mixed) omelet, not spicy. Then we had a "safari" to visit the Bishnoi village, clearly staged. But seeing their penchant for cleanliness and learning about their beliefs proved interesting. We also visited the potter's haunt and saw him throw three pots "the old way." The Brahmin village opium welcome ceremony was awesome, but we declined partaking the questionable water, the flies on the sugar, and the clearly addictive substance itself.

Wonderful experience in a luxury wilderness camp

We only spent 1 night here and our group of 4 were the only guests. We were made feel like royalty. The tent was very spacious clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. The restaurant provided excellent food and service, we were even offered a cup of tea in bed!

One of the waiters gave us the opportunity to visit his home, a traditional tiny hut behind the camp.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations.
