I have wanted to try this place since passing it a few months ago. Finally i got around to booking.
The staff were lovely and friendly.
Starters were nice. I had a huge pile of prawns and mh husband had pate. We demolished those.
For mains I had beef and my husband had chicken. Lovely. The best bit was the veggies were not overcooked. Just perfect.
Two courses and drinks came to £32, not cheapest but good and we will be back.

me and my girlfriend called in for Sunday lunch this weekend as it is local and we haven't been for a while. we however will be going a lot more often as we really enjoyed it.
I had the Yorkshire pudding starter and my partner has Pate both of the states were excellent
for mail course we have star pie and fish our and again they were both beautiful
desert we decided to have chocolate sponge pudding and if I'm honest it was a bit too much on the dark chocolate side
but overall the visit was really nice and good value with 3 courses only costing £20.00
the service was really good and to say we didn't book we got seated straight away. when we were leaving there was a lot of people waiting so I would suggest booking if its a Sunday .
we will be back soon.

Service good but so it should be. Ambience weird....some nicely designed corners but the whole doesn't hang together. Food decidedly average and over priced. There was actually too much of mostly tasteless food.

Went for very first time today food was really nice apart from roast potatoes they would of broke my teeth they were that hard we had 2 Sunday dinners costing £9.95 each we also had 1 cup of latte 1 cup of cappuccino the bill came to £30.55 that has got to be the most expensive coffee outside London I didn't query the bill but needless to say I won't be going back

We visited The Woolpack for my wife's birthday evening meal, the staff was very friendly, some of the meals were very nice but the lamb rump was rubbish.
They didn't charge us for the lamb.
All in all a nice place but it's a bit expensive.
