My review for Wyndham in Tashkent

I had chosen Wyndham because it is located near my workplace and its location is nice.
They have just got 5*.
There are as well as weak and more good point in a hotel.
2 years ago I was in that hotel and I liked the swimming pool and the fitness club.
There are cozy indoor and outdoor swimming pools there.
And this time I also chose Wyndham, because they promised that indoor pool would be ready in the beginning of November. I came there on 8th of November and left on 19th of November.
Everything was ready but indoor pool during my stay wasn't functioning - because some filters were missing and they said that logistics are working to get them fast.
They reconstructed forepart of the fitness centre, sauna and etc. .
Pools are really nice there.
Fitness centre I think is EXCELLENT. I liked it too much.
But this time maybe because of construction I had to enter there only by getting out of the hotel.
Catering is EXCELENT there - and soft live piano music is heard in the morning.
The weak point - hotel pickup didn't meet me in the airport, and after my call they send me a public taxi. Outside was little bit cold.
They were really sorry of such a delay. It might be because my flight was canceled and I informed them to change my arrival date for a day later. Anyhow...
But manager Ikrom gave me a chance as a covering point to use taxi services free of charge to go to swimming pool in Tashkent.
I really appreciated his willingness to help me.
He officially asked for appointment and assisted me in many things.
There are another two not so big points. The corridor on 5th floor starts with a small-little bit lifted carpet - maybe a cable was laid underneath, and somehow a person can stumble on it. And a second - doors are closed waving the next once also.
All of this minor point are easily resolved.
In general I am satisfied of the service provided by Wyndham.
It is Clean, Comfortable, Interesting, Front Desk people and assisting guys are so kind. I met with three managers, and they are doing their best to give a help to a guest.
Thanks for your support - hope we will meet soon.
Lovely staff, wonderful breakfasts

I have stayed here twice in November 2017. Both rooms were very warm. I turned off the heating. The room was very clean and more than adequate. The real highlights are the bellboys who were really lovely and the superb breakfasts. The hotel is close to a market and the metro. I had a pot of green tea which, in relative terms in Uzbekistan, was very expensive. Almost as expensive as a glass of red wine. The desk staff sorted out my internet connection which was very reliable.
My compliments

Stayed here for two nights at the start of our holiday in Uzbekistan and again for one night at the end. Spotlessly clean throughout this hotel boasts a very pleasant lobby area, spacious breakfast room with outdoor terrace and a nice dining room and bar (albeit with outrageous prices!) There is a Money Exchange office on site which is very handy now that the black market is gone and there is a standard exchange rate used everywhere.
Our room was well appointed. We had a safe and the free wifi worked well. However, our only complaint is that the air conditioning was switched off. The fact that it was 30 degrees outside seems to have been irrelevant, it was autumn so no AC. Most rooms face out into a very busy road so leaving the window open isn't an option either. On our second visit to the hotel we asked for a quiet room and were told we had to take the room that had been assigned to us.
As a previous reviewer stated the bathroom is not for anyone with mobility issues. I didn't fully appreciate this review until staying here, the shower is in the bath whose side is indeed very high. It would be a real challenge for older guests I think. The lock on the bathroom door was a bit dodgy, I got locked in one day but a member of staff came to my rescue promptly. From the quick way he opened the door I guessed I wasn't the first guest that this had happened to so be warned.....
Breakfast was wonderful. An ample choice with a chef on hand to make omelettes etc. The staff were very efficient, eager to offer coffee refills etc
We didn't eat in the dining room so I cannot comment on that. The bar is also in the same area. We decided to have a drink there the first night, â¬5 for the smallest measure of Bailys I have ever been served. A real rip off in a country where a full bottle of wine with dinner costs on average â¬4. Needless to say we didn't return. Uzbekistan is incredibly cheap, a taxi ride to a restaurant every night cost less than â¬1 so it was easy to eat elsewhere.
Check-in and out was speedy and efficient both times although we were annoyed upon leaving the second time when the receptionist ran after us to say that the bell boy had checked the mini bar and a Kit Kat and packet of nuts were missing!! We assured him that we hadn't even looked in the mini-bar and, to his credit, he took our word. However, my husband had to sign a declaration to say that we had not taken these items! I felt like pointing out that if we were going to 'pull a fast one' on the mini-bar we would have aimed at something more expensive and exciting than aKit-Kat and nuts but I decided to keep that thought to myself:-)
All in all we were happy enough with this hotel. It is a clean, bright, modern place to stay, well-located in a safe area.
