This is amazing place to stay! Fit with all that you need... beds....bathroom and amazing view TOTALLY RECCOMEND.
Right next to the main food source , New World and very safe... with the fire station right across the rd.
Great for tourists and a family weekend to explore the capital city of Nz.
You feel right at home with a fully packed kitchen with stove and a microwave + much more and the tv lounge with a beautiful big tv.
Also the games room and library . The staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed in a private ensuite room with two children. Everything was very clean and modern. Location very handy to Mt Vic, Te Papa and downtown. Great supermarket just across the road and bus stop around the corner.

I stayed 9 nights in a four share ensuite dorm at this hostel and loved it. Great location, very friendly staff and great facilities !
They have recently renovated so everything is new. Carpet was super new and clean. Elevators are super fast!
The only thing is in the kitchen a lot of the gaz burners donât work.
I will return to this hostel!

The Wellington YHA was a perfect place to come as a family. The rooms were clean and comfy and the common areas were bright and also comfy. This was my second time coming to this hostel and they had gotten rid of the pool table which was dissapointing but there may have been reasons for this. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. fThere were also large lockers avalibale for storage and the kitchens were fully equipped. Thanks for a great trip!

We stayed in a dorm room that was comfortable and quiet. The location of the hostel is great if you are spending time in central Wellington. The kitchens and bathrooms, while a bit dated, are clean and functional. Parking on the street across from the hostel is free at night, and in the morning you can move you car to Te Papa museum which costs about $12 per day in parking and is a 5 minute walk from the hostel. The hostel is also a 5 minute walk from Oriental bay. There are a lot of cafes and bars near by. Would definitely stay again.
